ello friends, Indian-American Scholarship Fund The Indian-American Scholarship Fund offers four-, two- and one-year undergraduate scholarships for Asian-Indian residents in the state of Georgia. The organizations awards funding based on merit, extra-curricular activities and financial need. Candidates must graduate from a Georgia high school and enroll in a four-year university or college. The program does not offer scholarships for graduate or foreign students. Candidates can download two different applications from the Indian-American Scholarship Fund website, one for merit scholarships and the other for financial need scholarships. Program guidelines allow each student to submit both types of applications for consideration. Upakar Upakar, the Indian-American Scholarship Foundation, offers scholarships to children who have at least one parent who was born in India. As of February 2011, awardees can receive up to $2,000 per school year, renewable for a maximum of four years. Candidates must have a minimum 3.6 grade point average at the time of application and must maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA to renew funding. Applicants must hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and their family must have a household income below $75,000 per year. The program extends eligibility to undergraduate students enrolled in degree programs at four-year postsecondary institutions in the United States.
